Introducing our Founder Series

Hello, I’m Lola Banjo, Founder, Creative Director, and Designer of Silver & Riley. At Silver & Riley, we create timeless and beautiful travel and fashion accessories designed to make moving around as seamless and stylish as possible. We combine style and functionality because we believe you shouldn't have to compromise.

We launched at the end of 2019 and produce in Italy. We make small leather goods like wallets, as well as silk scarves Made in Northern Italy, and will be introducing additional categories soon, but our primary product category is travel and fashion bags, utilizing leather from Italian tanneries. We work with calf and cowhide leather, but with the introduction of our Capri Tote Bag, we are excited to offer vegan leather options, also produced in Italy.

I am so thrilled to introduce this Founder series, where I will share insights about our manufacturing process and my knowledge on topics like leather, responsible manufacturing, sustainability, and more. The first part of this series will focus on leather. I receive many questions about leather, and I’m excited to share what I know. Having been in the industry for nearly five years, I have learned a lot more about leather since I first started. Admittedly, when I first started out, I had no pull in the industry and often didn’t know the right questions to ask. Now I collaborate fully with my tanneries and partners to ensure we uphold our quality standards and act as ethical producers. That’s always the goal, great products produced in the most ethical ways possible placing people—our customers, suppliers, and producers—as well as the environment at the center of everything we do.

I firmly believe that business can be a force for good, and I am committed to being a great steward of the industry every day.
